How to Enter

The deadline for all entries has now passed!

There are still two contests with delayed entry deadlines – You  may still enter:

Livestock Judging and Plant ID Contest

The deadline for these two shows is: Friday, FEBRUARY 12TH!

Remember that all animal shows require a Record Book in order to show! They are also due FEBRUARY 12TH!


Every exhibitor must have a signed waiver on file before Fair week. Click the button below to print your waiver.

Criteria to Enter:

  • Exhibitor must be 8-18 years old (5-7 for Watch Me Grow)
  • Exhibitor must live in or attend a school in Marion County
  • Exhibitor must be an active member in FFA or 4-H
  • Exhibitor must complete entry forms and pay all necessary fees by deadline

Each event has a separate fee, HOWEVER, there is a a MAXIMUM of $30 per exhibitor, no matter how many events he/she signs up for. Once a student has paid $30 all other entry fees will be waived.

Market Animals:

You may pay Market Animal (Steer, Swine, Goat, Lamb) entry fees at the mandatory meeting, at the SEYF Office, or online by your (Steer, Swine, Lamb, Goat) tagging day.  At the Mandatory Meeting, entry fees will only be accepted for Market Animals or the $30 maximum entry.  NO other individual show/contest entry fees will be accepted at the mandatory meeting.

Show Animal & Other Contest Fee Deadline

Entry fee deadline is November 13th  with the exception of Market Animals (Steer, Swine, Lamb, Goat) which are due prior to Weigh-In or Tagging date.

2021 Explanation of Fees

Market Animal: $15 each animal
Market Steer
Market Hog
Market Lamb (fee will cover Breed Show if applicable)
Market Goat (fee will cover Dairy & Meat Goat Show if applicable)

Other Animal Shows: $10 each animal
Beef Heifers
Dairy Goat or Meat Goat
Dog Agility, Obedience, or Rally (1 fee covers all 3 contests)
Breed Lambs
Horses (add an additional $7 per class OR $45.00 includes unlimited classes, one stall)

Small Animal Shows: $3 per head, $15 maximum

All other shows: $5 each
